For this cake I used the same chocolate cake recipe I used in another recipe, with whipped cream frosting, but here I poured the ganache over it instead. I didn't think about making anything else to decorate, so I sifted some powdered sugar over the ganache last minute, I do not recommend this cause it just dissolves in the chocolate. Maybe make a ganache with white chocolate chips and decorate Costco style. Good luck!
Below is the recipe for the chocolate ganache.
Ingredients
1/2 C heavy cream
3 1/2 oz of dark chocolate, or any chocolate really, I used milk
chocolate chips.
1 T butter, softened
How To
- Bring cream to a boil in a sauce pan over medium heat and pour over chocolate in a heatproof bowl
- Let stand for 2 minutes, add the butter and whisk mixture until smooth. Let cool, stirring often. Use immediately.
